Dryday
/Overview
Dry Day is a digital product that helps newly sober people maintain and enhance their social lives. Many of which had previously revolved around people and places that encouraged drinking.
/Role
Dry Day is my own personal concept that I helped bring to life through the complete UX process. This included user research, user interviews, user journeys, wire framing, low fidelity prototyping and high fidelity prototyping and visual design.
/Problem Space
The problem space is in the area of sober socializing. I want to
explore how to make socializing easier for sober and sober curious
people.
Many recently sober people sometimes see a decline in the quality of their social life as many of their friends, hangout spots and activities revolved around drinking. They are often faced with boredom, lack of community and lack of hobbies to keep them busy and fulfilled.
/User persona
The Newly Sober Person has stopped drinking between 3 months to a year. Most of their social lives and friends previously involved drinking. They still enjoy going out and having fun but having trouble balancing that with a newly sober lifestyle.
Frustrations:
Fear of Missing Out.
Losing Friends.
Don’t know what to do when going out.
Feel pressure or weird not drinking in
social environments (Bars, Clubs etc).
No good non Alcoholic options when out.
